piercing and slashing attacks are reduced by 22% and 30% respectively
grants 70% resistance to elemental damage
while monster resistance is increased by 30%
Similar to the Wolf School armor, the Cat School light armor can only be crafted by a blacksmith (seek out an NPC journeyman or higher-ranked blacksmith). To acquire the necessary blueprint, you must complete the quest "Scavenger Hunt: Cat School Gear." The blueprint is held by the Mad Kiyan, so you'll need to search his body.

1. Initiating the Quest:
To begin this quest, you need to obtain it from a blacksmith in the village of Crow's Perch in Velen, near the Crow's Perch fortress where the Bloody Baron resides.
Additionally, you can purchase the "First Map of Adalbert Kermith" from a merchant in the same location to unlock the "Enhanced School of the Cat Gear" quest.
2. Exploring Big Dipper Village:
Purchase the "Second Map of Adalbert Kermith" from the blacksmith in Big Dipper Village.
Access your inventory and read the purchased map. Then, select the "Witcher's Relics: School of the Cat Gear" quest from the "Treasure Hunt" section.
3. Search for the Gear:
According to the quest, head to Novigrad and locate the Temple Isle, situated in the northern part of the city.

4. Navigate the Cave:
Inside, you'll encounter a level 14 Golem. Defeat it to progress further into the cave.
Proceed deeper until you reach a room with statues. Solve the puzzle by turning all the statues to face inward.
5. Obtaining the Gear:
After solving the puzzle, a pool will open in the center, revealing a skeleton with the key to a locked wooden door in the same room where you fought the Golem.
Unlock the door and enter the room, where you'll encounter Kiyan the Mad (level 17). Defeat him and collect the diagrams for the basic School of the Cat gear from his corpse.
6. Retrieving Additional Gear:
Read the "Madman's Notes" found alongside the diagrams to unlock the location of the next piece of School of the Cat gear.
7. Finalizing the Quest:
The quest will now lead you to search the Flying Stag Island, located near the lighthouse.
