At its heart lies the secret of ancient sinister resurgence, drawing daring adventurers and mighty heroes alike. Forward, to incredible dangers and astonishing discoveries, onward to Baldur's Gate 3.

In BG3, all classes are capable of handling both weapons and spells, so you can confidently choose the one that appeals to you esthetically, especially if you're not playing at a high difficulty level. Some classes have unique abilities. For example, a Druid can shape-shift into various animals and participate in combat in that form.

Each class has its own branches of development (subclasses) - from three or more. For some classes, you need to choose one of them immediately at the first level, while for others, it's at the third level. Some classes synergize better with certain races than others, but don't think that any race is completely unsuitable for a particular class. There will be differences, but not significant ones.

Fighter Eldritch Knight Build
(Available in full guide)
Fighters are often called the "base" class, as most of their abilities revolve around attacking the enemy with weapons. Some subclasses expand the list of available actions, but the essence of the class remains unchanged - its representatives beat the enemy quickly and simply.
Fighters have the highest number of attacks per round among all classes, and the ability to repeat one full action once during a short rest (i.e., repeat any attack)
Through the “Action Surge” skill makes the Fighter a class capable
of unleashing the full potential of weapons. If a Warrior of the maximum level for the game with a regular two-handed sword hits with all blows, even without using any active abilities, the damage he inflicts is no longer inferior to any of the other classes. And if a weapon has the ability to inflict additional damage, then in this aspect the Fighter becomes unsurpassed.
Separately, it is worth highlighting the mastery of shields and all types
of armor, from light to heavy, which provides this class with reliable protection in close combat.

One common challenge faced by all classes focusing on traditional
weaponry is:

⎯ their limited capacity for area-of-effect attacks

While the Fighter offers a subclass with spellcasting abilities,
without substantial investment in Intelligence, opponents can easily evade these spells... Even if they do connect, the damage dealt by spells falls short compared to the mighty strikes of a highly skilled Fighter. Additionally, this subclass clearly lacks the strength and versatility found in the magical arsenals of not only dedicated spellcasters but also hybrid classes that blend combat prowess with spellcasting, such as the Paladin.
Vulnerability to magical manipulation is a serious concern. Fighters lack
the training necessary for nimble Dexterity Saves, crucial for avoiding widespread magical damage, as well as the mental fortitude required
to resist various forms of controlling magic. The only defense against such magical influence comes into play at level 9, granting an additional resistance attempt against any effect, but this ability is limited to once per long rest.
